Visit to Bari
Weekend of 17-18 January participating in “ A Conversation between Catholics and Orthodox in the Holy Spirit ” organised by The Community of Jesus. Abp. Sean has been invited to give testimony of working with the Orthodox Church over the years.
Weekend of 24-25 January participating in “ A Symposium between Catholics and Pentecostals ” organised by the Community of Jesus. Abp. Sean has been asked to give a paper on Charismatic Renewal, with particular reference to the role played by Fr. Dennis Bennett, (Episcopalian)
Intervening days: participating in a new initiative from the Italian Catholic Bishops for the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity; a gathering of national leaders, or their representatives, from all the different denominations in Italy, for prayer. Bari is the chosen venue for the first such gathering.
October 2025
Apb Sean will be making an Episcopal visit to the US in October. He will additionally be spending time with the R.C Community of Mt Zion in Michigan, and with the R.C Bishop of Birmingham, Alabama, The Most Reverend Steve Raica, as his guest.
18th August – 26th August 2025
Abp Sean will be visiting Ogdensburg N.Y. where again he has been offered hospitality by R.C. Bishop Terry LaValley. During his visit he will also meet with the Roman Catholic Bishop of Syracuse, Doug Lucia, and Don Curry of the John 17 Movement and Founder of New Testament Church Messena – launched 1980.
All three were present at a Church Unity leaders’ day at which he spoke a number of years ago. Abp Sean has maintained a relationship over the years with Bishop Terry and looks forward to reconnecting with Bishop Doug and Don.
Further time will be spent with various Presbyterian Congregations.
January 2025
Abp. Sean and Gill will be sharing with the Community of Jesus in Bari, in the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity from the 18th to the 25th January.
They will be participating in events around several local dioceses as well as spending time with the Community.
